PARKING GUIDELINES

Parents, After speaking with an officer from the 39th police district, we realize that we must enforce our parking policies more effectively. Below you will find the parking guidelines, and for the safety of our entire school community it is important that each family abide by these rules. We welcome feedback and support as we try to deal with this issue. Parking Guidelines: 1) Parents must observe the posted speed limit, the no U-turn sign, and all customary rules of the road (not parking on the crosswalk or in the bus zone, not double-parking). Parents may be ticketed for violating these rules. 2) The space behind the bus zone is designated drop-off space only--if parents need to come in with their child to speak to a teacher or help carry something, they need to park elsewhere: on Roberts Avenue, on the other side of Wissahickon Avenue or in the lot of Fern hill Park. 3) We can all try to reduce the number of vehicles at drop-off and pick-up by: walking kids to school if possible, taking public transportation or carpooling with nearby families.
