Dear Families,
The WCS Outdoor Program is ready to explore the Philadelphia region. This program will run at least one Saturday or Sunday a month for about half the day (dependent on trip). All trips will leave from the school. Participants can choose which trips they would like to go on. Unfortunately, there is a limit to thirteen students on each trip, due to available seating in the van. Therefore, trips will be on a first come, first serve basis. Permission slips will be sent home the Monday before the scheduled trip. If your child is interested in a specific trip, we encourage you to send back the permission slip as soon as possible.
For the majority of the trips, we will be working with the Inner City Outings Program through the Sierra Club. They supply all equipment, some food, transportation, and guides for free. Trips will be weather dependent. Tentative dates for the year are listed below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at the school.
