Wissahickon Charter's annual Spring Benefit & Silent Auction brings together community leaders and friends who believe in the school's mission and model to shine a light on our accomplishments, share our work with new friends, and celebrate those who have played an important role.
As we celebrate our school accomplishments, we also want to celebrate the individuals who helped us along the way. Each year, we honor an individual who has provided integral support and shown a demonstrated interest in Wissahickon Charter.

Jeremy Nowak was a pivotal leader in Wissahickon's history. His deep belief in the mission of the school and his work at The Reinvestment Fund allowed the Fernhill Campus to be founded in 2002.
Jeremy helped Wissahickon double the number of students served by expanding from one school to two in 2014, growing to serve nearly 1,000 students each year. Jeremy remained a champion and advocate for Wissahickon throughout the years, introducing many friends to the school and offering invaluable advice.
Jeremy was more than just a tireless thought leader to us at Wissahickon; he was a mentor and a dear friend.
In his honor, Wissahickon launched the “Jeremy Nowak Legacy Award” in 2019. This recognition is awarded annually at our Spring Benefit to an individual or partner organization who has embodied Jeremy’s spirit of selfless community impact.
